The first motorcycle turned in to a Chopper in Swedish style (1982) based on a Norton Atlas 750cc driveline, with the first award 1984.

In 1993 I made a round the world trip on a rigid Harley chopper with my big love Visnja (My wife after the trip 1995) 45.000 km (30.000 miles) it took us 14 months.
We made the trip thru Europe, Sweden-Holland-Belgium-France-Italy-Greece- Turkey, then Israel-Egypt-India-Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand-Indonisia. Crossing Australia-New Zeeland-Fidji.

June 1994 we come to USA and I started to work for Pacific Coast Cycles for a couple of months and then we were driving up to Canada, down to Sturgis and over to N.Y via Niagra Falls. We went back to Los Angeles to start up a bike shop, All Star Cycles with Greg Karapetian. In July 1995 we moved back to Sundsvall in Sweden and started up Hogtech.

Hogtech Sweden AB manufacture products with experience in frames and Choppers since 1982 for the aftermarket with an old fashion Swedish blacksmith tradition that goes years back to the 1000`s century of the Viking’s. Light weight (22 kg/48,5 lbs NS frame), Precision handcrafted to tight tolerance with high quality CNC machined Swedish steel ST 52.3 and Seamless Precision steel tubes ST 52.4 Kris cross Tig (Heli arc) welded 10 mm (3/8”) at a spot to get minimum of stress in the material. Completely welded and heat treated and cooled in the fully adjustable CNC machined fixture. Due to this precision craftsman ship the production is not a high volume.

Hogtech frames are tested on a Round the World trip on a rigid Harley Chopper 45.000 km (30.000 miles) and also True TUV in Germany (frame mounted in motor/transm. mounts with high pressure on rear wheel mounts and neck for 400 hours) to meet the highest standard.
A certificate comes with the frame and 5 years Warranty.

The most important with a motorcycles handling/driveability is the trail. We use a computer program to calculate the ultimate trail (between 50-130 mm) for each customers frame. There is many circumstances to take in the calculation.
