Pitch Black Racing team today came from the fact that Per (PG) Granqvist had previously competed in drag racing. It took some years before abstinence hit him with full force. A friend from the old racing life was building a new car and a visit to the garage ended with the sponsorship of new tires and then the ball was rolling. Efforts have since grown over the years and adopted greater proportions than anyone imagined at the beginning. With blooded teeth and craving for more the search began for a new car. It turned out to be easier said than done because no just anything would do. The Mopar flag was held high in the team and it became difficult to find a car to fit our plans of a time faster than 7.50! It was decided finally that we would build a brand new car. It was molded from a loaner Plymouth Coupe -38. When it was finished it exceeded everyone's expectations, and it is certainly one of the coolest cars on the track?!
